The victims were identified as Budaram Praveen (23), a native of Zaheerabad in Sangareddy district and Mohammad Sagar (21), a resident of Banjara Hills in Hyderabad. Both were private employees.

According to the police, the victims along with six friends went to Srisailam on October 15 for a trip and stopped by at Dindi Project on Saturday evening on their return. They went down to Dindi River near spillway to take selfies. Mohammed Sagar, who didn’t know how to swim, accidentally fell into the waters.
