Hanamkonda: Warangal Commissioner of Police Sunpreet Singh stated that names of persons with criminal record would be removed from the history sheets if they lead their lives with good conduct without engaging in any illegal activities.
At a special programme organised here on Thursday on the occasion of the New Year, the CP handed over the orders issued removing the names of rowdy sheeters, habitual offenders and suspects under the ‘Parivartana’ (Transformation) initiative.
After a review by senior officials, based on factors such as old age and leading lives with good conduct, orders were issued to remove the names of 19 individuals identified under the Warangal police commissionerate limits.
They included five rowdy sheeters, 12 suspects, one known depredator (KD) and one dossier criminal (DC). The Commissioner of Police enquired about their current lives after handing over the orders.
He said that the history sheets were opened against them in the police stations due to their involvement in illegal activities, but after reviewing their current good conduct, the sheets have been removed.
Singh, expressing faith in them, told them to continue their professions and lead lives without engaging in any anti-social or illegal activities in the future. The removal of names from history sheets would continue in the same manner in the future.
West Zone DCP Rajamahendra Naik, additional DCP Ravi, ACP David Raju and Inspectors Srinivas, Sanjeev, and Mallaiah were present.
