Hyderabad: As part of Green India Challenge programme launched by Rajya Sabha member Joginapally Santosh Kumar, Natural Star Nani, along with cast of his upcoming movie ‘Shyam Singha Roy’ – Krithi Shetty, Sai Pallavi, producer Boinpally Venkat planted saplings at the GHMC Park near Prashasan Nagar in Jubilee Hills on Sunday morning.

Speaking on the occasion, Nani urged people to expand green cover to make pollution-free earth. He said it is everyone’s responsibility to plant trees as part of the Green India Challenge.


Nani thanked Santosh Kumar for taking forward the green initiative across the nation as a movement.

Nani said celebs from film industry and political personalities who take part in such initiatives would create more awareness among the people. “I’m happy to participate in the programme. The Green India Challenge helps the earth from global warming and people should be a part of it to have a cleaner environment for future generations.,” he said.

Following the programme, Karunakar Reddy and Raghavendra Yadav have presented the copy of ‘Vriksha Veda’ to actor Nani.

Stars Sai Pallavi and Krithi Shetty who also planted saplings on the occasion, heaped praises on Santosh Kumar for compiling the book on nature and its protection.
