Hyderabad: Narayana Schools on Friday announced the introduction of Sports Achievement Reward Policy, aimed at recognising and rewarding the sporting achievements of its students at the district, state, national, and international levels.

The initiative, launched to promote a culture of excellence in sports, will support students in their pursuit of sporting success while fostering their overall development, a press release said.

For national-level achievements, gold medalists will receive Rs.6,000, silver medalists Rs.5,000, and bronze medalists Rs.4,000. The State-level achievements will see gold, silver, and bronze medalists rewarded with Rs.3,000, Rs.2,500, and Rs.2,000 respectively.

At the district level, students will receive Rs.1,500 for gold, Rs.1,200 for silver, and Rs.1,000 for bronze. Additionally, for international events, participation alone qualifies students for a reward of Rs.10,000, regardless of the result.

The policy is applicable to students participating in sports events conducted after September 16, 2024, and includes special provisions for team sports and international competitions, ensuring equitable rewards for individual and group efforts, the release added.
