Narayana Schools student ranks World No 10 in Under-6 chess
Kshiv Chakave, a student of Narayana Schools, has achieved World No. 10 and India No. 3 rankings in the Under-6 chess category after securing third place at the LBHM All India Open FIDE Rated Chess Tournament with a FIDE rating of 1560.

Hyderabad: A student from Narayana Schools, Kshiv Chakave, has achieved World No 10 and India number 3 rankings in the Under-6 chess category, Narayana Schools said in a press release on Monday.
The chess prodigy has showcased his outstanding performance at the prestigious LBHM All India Open FIDE Rated Chess Tournament, a national-level event recognised by FIDE (Fédération Internationale des Échecs) and the All India Chess Federation (AICF), the statement said.
Kshiv Chakave secured the third rank trophy in the Under-6 category at the tournament, which witnessed participation from over 200 students across the country. Kshiv achieved a FIDE rating of 1560, which has placed him among the Top 10 players in the world in the Under-6 category, 3rd ranked player in India.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Sindhura Narayana, Director, Narayana Educational Institutions, said, “Kshiv’s achievement at such a young age reflects focus, perseverance, passion, discipline and a winning mindset that he has developed so early”.
Kshiv is now preparing to participate in the National Under-7 Chess Championship scheduled from June 7 to June 11, 2026, where he aims to further enhance his national standing.
