Hyderabad: Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy on Saturday assured to complete the Narsampet-Kothaguda road within nine months of receiving clearances from the Forest department. He said the works were delayed on account of no response to the tenders and also delay in clearance from the Wildlife Board.
Speaking in the Assembly during Question Hour on Saturday, Prashanth Reddy said the Narsampet-Kothaguda road comprises two parts where the Narsampet-Pakhal road and the Yellandu-Pakhal road (Kothaguda falls on this route). Though tenders were invited, there was delay in executing the works as there has been no response to the tenders during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Fresh tenders were invited for the said road with last date set as March 30 this year and the works will be completed by June this year. The second part of the road (Yellandu-Pakhal) which was delayed due to clearances from the Wildlife Board, has now been entrusted to the work agencies and it will be completed within nine months of getting clearances from the Forest department.
