Hyderabad: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has been selected for the award of 2nd Best State Transport Unit (STU) at the national-level in KMPL improvement for the year October 2019 to September 2020 in category-I of STUs having more than 4,001 buses in operation. A cash award of Rs 3 lakh and a plaque will be presented to TSRTC Managing Director, by Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel Dharmendra Pradhan through online at a virtual function on Saturday.
Sunil Sharma, Principal Secretary (Transport) and in-charge Managing Director, along with Executive Directors will receive the award. Further, Hayathnagar-I, Uppal and Dilsukhnagar depots have been adjudged as best depots for fuel-efficiency awards at the state level in KMPL improvement.
Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan will present the best depot awards with a cash prize of Rs 50,000 for each depot. The respective depot managers along with their team would receive the award, according to a press release.
