Hyderabad: For settlement of all kinds of civil cases and compoundable criminal cases (both pre-litigation and pending litigation cases), the National Legal Services Authority has proposed to hold a National Lok Adalat on March 12 across the country, at all levels — from Supreme Court to Taluq court.

Accordingly, Telangana State Legal Services Authority, in a press note issued here on Saturday, said the National Lok Adalat would be held in Telangana in all courts for settlement of all civil and compoundable criminal cases on March 12 under the guidance of the Chief justice and Patron-in-Chief, and Executive Chairman of Telangana State Legal Services Authority.


The Lok Adalat is rendering free services without any expenditure or fees and the court fee if any paid in pending cases will be refunded if the matter is settled through Lok Adalat and no appeal lies against the award passed in Lok Adalat, the press note said.

It appealed to the general public to avail the benefit of Lok Adalat mechanism for settlement of their cases in physical and virtual mode and can approach the Chairman/Secretary of District Legal Services Authority, Navya Seva Sadan in District Court Complex of their respective districts of nearest Mandal Legal services Committee/the nearest court to get their dispute resolved.
