National Sports Scholarship Scheme 2026-27: Applications open for athletes until July 31

The Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has invited applications for the National Sports Scholarship Scheme 2026-27. Eligible athletes aged 8 to 23 years can receive monthly scholarships ranging from ₹6,000 to ₹20,000. The last date to apply online is July 31.

Hyderabad: The Union Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports has opened applications for the National Sports Scholarship Scheme 2026–27 to support talented athletes across India.

Eligible sportspersons, in the age group of eight to 23 years, can receive Rs 6,000–Rs 20,000 per month based on their achievements and category.

The eligibility norms include outstanding National/International performers in priority sports, educational qualification of minimum 10+2 (relaxation for exceptional achievers).

Interested may apply online through www.careers.sportsauthorityofindia.nic.in before July 31.
