Hyderabad: Kairos International School organized various activities on the occasion of Word Nature Conservation Day to instill respect and love in the students towards nature. Principal Krishna Sri said students can be change makers and create awareness in the school on nature conservation.

She said that there was a dire need for conserving nature and it can be only done with the support of all stakeholders of the society and asked youngsters to be torchbearers of nature conservation.

A role-play staged by the children of primary school grabbed everyone’s attention as it was both entertaining and informative.

The role-play raised voice against the unspeakable atrocities on animals. Students dressed in animal costumes like the endangered species spoke on the need to protect them.

Some students were dressed in plants’ costumes and dramatised on the importance of plants to humans. A short play on water conservation presented by the lower secondary children won resounding acclaim.

Performance poetry was another great attraction of the day. Children brought forth the beautiful bond between poetry and nature. The programme concluded with students taking oath in unison to protect nature.
