Navaratri and Bathukamma celebrations bring cultural buzz to Silparamam

Hyderabad: Silparamam, Madhapur, is bustling with shopping and cultural activities as part of the ‘Navaratri, Bathukamma and Dasara Celebrations’ and a Saree Mela being held till October 5.
Apart from rich handlooms and handicrafts showcased from different parts of the country, the event also features daily cultural activities by Lok Kala Yatra Folk and Traditional Dance troupes in association with the South Central Zone Cultural Centre, Nagpur.
Telangana artist Rajitha presented Kolatam dance, Maharashtra artist Ravindra Laxman Bhoye and his group performed Songi Mukhavate, Chhattisgarh artist Anil Kumar Garhewal presented Ghedi Nrutya, Jammu artist Nishu Panditha performed Dongri Nrutya, Punjab artist Arashpreet Singh and his group performed Bhangra, Madhya Pradesh artist Mayaram Durve and his group performed Gudumbhaja Nrutya, while another Chhattisgarh form, Kamara Nrutya, was presented by Prem Yadav.
