Hyderabad: Officials of Hyderabad sub-zone of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Friday intercepted a parcel and seized three kgs of pseudoephedrine drug concealed in the fall line areas of three lehengas.
The contraband was well concealed and stitched to avoid detection by the enforcement agency. The parcel was destined for Australia. In a follow up action, the consignor was identified as a person from Chennai and the NCB Chennai team apprehended the consignor after two days of prolonged field surveillance. The consignor had used fake address and documents to conceal his identity.
In another operation at Bengaluru, NCB officials intercepted a car bearing AP registration number at Devanahalli toll gates and apprehended four persons and recovered commercial quantity of MDMA pills, Methamphetamin and Methaqualone from a person hailing from Visakhapatnam. The other three were from Bihar and Hyderabad. They were proceeding towards Hyderabad when the NCB officials detained them. The officials searched the supplier’s premises resulting in seizure of small quantity of high grade marijuana.
The syndicate was procuring variety of drugs from a supplier based in Bengaluru and selling them to the youth, parties and in pubs in Hyderabad.
