NCC cadet from AP & T Directorate wins two medals in equestrian competition
Cadet Shaik Mujammil astride Horse Goodwill won a bronze medal in show jumping event, and was declared co-winner in the Six Bar Jumping event
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Directorate NCC has added another feather to its hat by winning two medals in an all-India level equestrian competition held at New Delhi as part of the ongoing Republic Day camp.
Cadet Shaik Mujammil — astride Horse Goodwill — of Government Junior College Rajendra Nagar, under 1 Telangana R&V Regiment NCC of the AP & T Directorate, won a bronze medal in show jumping event and was declared co-winner in the Six Bar Jumping event where more than 20 teams from different parts of the country participated.
Unlike other sporting events, the equestrian competition needs high preparation and dedication. Rigorous training and continuous guidance under able instructors of the 1(T) R& V NCC Regt., resulted into this success, a press release from the Andhra Pradesh & Telangana Directorate NCC, said.
