NCC Directorate (AP & T) Air Commodore Narsingh Sailani briefs the Director General on the achievements, challenges, and future roadmaps of the NCC groups

Hyderabad: National Cadet Corps Director General Lieutenant General Gurbirpal Singh on Wednesday complimented the performance of NCC Directorate (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana), Secunderabad.

During his two-day visit on June 24 and 25, Lt Gen Singh reviewed enrolment and NCC training standards. NCC Directorate (AP & T) Air Commodore Narsingh Sailani, along with group commanders, briefed the Director General on the achievements, challenges, and future roadmaps of their respective NCC groups.


The briefing included online cadet enrolment, annual training camps, social service and community development initiatives, logistic issues, adventure and military training activities and preparations for the upcoming Thal, Vayu and Nau Sainik Camps.

Lt Gen Singh visited 1 Telangana Girls Battalion NCC under NCC Group HQs, Secunderabad and interacted with cadets and staff. The cadets showcased their discipline and military bearing through a spirited guard of honour. The General Officer complimented the cadets and staff on their performance and also felicitated ANOs, GCIs, cadets and civilian staff to recognise their efforts.

Addressing the media, the General Officer highlighted various initiatives undertaken by HQ DGNCC, New Delhi. These include online enrolment of cadets, amalgamation of technology in training, like the introduction of drones, dress allowance to cadets and maintaining the gender proportion.
