Nepali woman who delivered at Khammam hospital returns home
Khammam Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel, who responded to the woman’s emergency in a timely manner and made arrangements for the child delivery at the District Hospital.
Khammam: A Nepali woman who went into labour pains on board a special train and gave birth to a baby boy at Khammam District Hospital on Jan 21 has returned home.
Khammam Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel, who responded to the woman’s emergency in a timely manner and made arrangements for the child delivery at the District Hospital, have bid a farewell to the woman Anitha Devi Mada.
She left for her native place Dailic in Kathmandu by Lucknow-bound Nagarcoil Express on Tuesday evening along with her newborn child, two kids and a female relative.
The RPF Inspector K Madhusudhan booked their tickets spending Rs 2,000 from his pocket.
They were also provided food items and snacks sufficient for their journey.
Speaking to Telangana Today on Wednesday Madhusudhan said the woman and her kids would be picked up by her family members at Lucknow from where they would reach Kathmandu by road.
RPF SI M Venkat Reddy, Sakhi team-181, Childline members gave the woman send-off while Anitha Devi thanked the RPF personnel profoundly for their humanitarian gesture.
