Sangareddy: Vice-chariman and Managing Director of TSRTC VC Sajjanar has said that they were willing to operate some new bus services from Zaheerabad bus station to various villages after analysing the traffic flow. Speaking to reporters after inspecting the bus station in Zaheerabad on Thursday, Sajjanar has said that they were examining the demand for new bus services in the Zaheerabad area. He said that they will certainly operate the services if they find that there was enough potential to generate minimum revenue.

Saying that the Zaheerabad bus depot was getting 10 per cent more occupancy ratio than the State’s average, the MD said that it is heartening to see the people from these parts of Telangana prefer travelling on RTC buses. After going through the bus station, Sajjanar checked the prices of various things being sold in the bus station.

Stating that the quality of the products are upto the mark, he said that none were found charging more than MRP. Since the bus station is located in the borders of Karnataka and Maharastra, the MD said that it is a key bus station for them. However, the MD said that the revenue of Corporation has come down considerably due to Covid-19 recently. Saying that they were taking all the due care to protect the passengers from Covid-19 infection, Sajjanar called upon the passengers to chose RTC to travel since all their employees were double vaccinated. He further said that they were sanitising the buses regularly besides maintaining all the Covid-19 norms in buses and bus stations. Sajjanar Congratulated the staff of Zaheerabad depot for keeping the occupancy ratio up even during the Covid-19 times.

Regional Manager-Sanagerddy, Sudharshan, Depot Manager-Zaheerabad, Ramesh, DSP-Zaheerabad Shankar Raju and others were present.
