New Chief Justice of Telangana to be sworn in on July 19
Justice Aparesh Kumar will succeed Justice Sujoy Paul, who has been transferred to the Calcutta High Court.

Hyderabad: Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh, recently appointed as the Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court, will be sworn in at Raj Bhavan on July 19.
The oath of office will be administered by Governor Jishnu Dev Varma at a special ceremony scheduled for 12:30 PM. Justice Singh, who served as the Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court until his transfer, was elevated to head the Telangana High Court following a recommendation by the Supreme Court Collegium.
The official notification confirming his appointment was issued on July 14 by the Ministry of Law and Justice.
Justice Aparesh Kumar will succeed Justice Sujoy Paul, who has been transferred to the Calcutta High Court.
Justice Singh was sworn-in as the Chief Justice of Tripura High Court on April 17, 2023. He was appointed as acting chief justice of Jharkhand High court in 2022.
