Vasudha Foundation members presented new clothes to Vedic students at Bhadrachalam in Kothagudem district on Saturday.
Kothagudem: The Vedic students and teachers at the temple town Bhadrachalam were presented ‘panches’ and ‘uttariyams’ by Vasudha Foundation of Hyderabad.
At a programme at Amba Satram at the town in the district on Saturday the new clothes were presented to 19 students and Vedic teachers marking Sankranthi festival, a statement from the foundation said.
A senior journalist Kona Anand Kumar Sharma, Vasudha Foundation members Srinivasa Raju, PV Satyanarayana, Sharif, Amba Satram manager Yamujala Madhu, retired teachers Muralidhara Rao and Bhanumurthy were present.
In another programme at Sai Baba Bhajan Mandir at the town the monthly free distribution of essential commodities to poor Brahmins has taken place. Food items were distributed to 13 poor Brahmin families.
The distribution of essentials was taking place on the second Saturday of every month under the aegis of Ramayana Parayana Seva Samithi. The organisers informed that it was decided to identify the poor Brahmin families in Bhadrachalam, adopt them permanently to give assistance.
Keshiraju Lakshminarayana, Kurucheri Ramachandra Murthy, journalist Anand Kumar Sharma RK Rama Rao, Polytechnic College principal Krishna Mohan, Narasimha Rao and others were present.
