New Economic Offences Wing police station opens in Neredmet

Hyderabad: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) Police Station, Malkajgiri, has started operating at Police Quarters in Neredmet from Wednesday.
The functioning of the police station was commenced with a General Diary entry by Malkajgiri Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty.
DCP Road Safety K Manohar will supervise the EOW police station along with the staff of two ACPs and three Inspectors.
The EOW will register cases of financial fraud involving cheating, criminal breach of trust and fabrication of documents where the fraud exceeds Rs 2 crore, and cases under the Telangana State Protection of Depositors of Financial Establishments Act, 1999, involving amounts above Rs 1 crore, along with any other cases as directed by the Police Commissioner.
