Hyderabad: Kollywood’s leading production house Hombale Films, known for hits like KGF 1, KGF 2, Salaar, and Kantara, has revealed its next big project, the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Teaming up with Kleem Productions, the banner is now stepping into the world of mythological animation, drawing inspiration from the ten divine avatars of Lord Vishnu. The universe will be presented as a massive animated saga, spread across seven epic films, and promises to blend Indian mythology with cutting-edge animation and storytelling.
The journey begins with the first film, Mahavatar Narsimha, which will release on July 25, 2025. It will be presented in 3D and in multiple languages, making it accessible to a global audience. The makers are aiming to create a rich, immersive world that brings age-old stories to life with modern visuals.
The Mahavatar Cinematic Universe will unfold over seven grand chapters, beginning with Mahavatar Narsimha in 2025. This will be followed by Mahavatar Parshuram in 2027, and Mahavatar Raghunandan in 2029. The journey continues with Mahavatar Dwarkadhish in 2031 and Mahavatar Gokulananda in 2033. The epic saga will then lead into its final phase with Mahavatar Kalki Part 1 in 2035, concluding with Mahavatar Kalki Part 2 in 2037.
But that’s not all, the Mahavatar universe will also expand into comic books and an interactive game experience titled Mahavatar Brahmand. More updates on these will be announced soon.
With this bold new move, Hombale Films is all set to open a new chapter in Indian animation, combining culture, entertainment, and technology to create a one-of-a-kind mythological saga for all ages.
