Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, the body of a newborn baby boy was allegedly discovered inside a flush tank in the women’s bathroom of a private hospital in Kukatpally.

The incident occurred at Ramdevrao Memorial Hospital in Vivekananda Nagar, where a housekeeping worker, who went to clean the women’s washroom in the OPD section on Tuesday, noticed that water was not flowing from one of the flush tanks. Upon opening it, she found the infant’s body stuffed inside and immediately alerted the hospital staff.

On receiving information, the Kukatpally police reached the spot and took up investigation.

They are examining CCTV footage to identify those responsible. It remains unclear whether the baby was dead before being placed in the tank or died later.
