Newborn baby girl found abandoned on roadside in Mailardevpally

A newborn baby girl was found abandoned and dead on a roadside in Babulreddy Nagar, Mailardevpally. Police are examining CCTV footage and hospital birth records to identify the parents. A case has been registered, and the investigation is ongoing.

Hyderabad: The body of a newborn baby girl was found dumped on the roadside at Babulreddy Nagar in Mailardevpally on Monday.

Police suspect the infant was abandoned by her parents after she died. The local residents noticed the body of the newborn and informed the police, following which the Mailardevpally police shifted the body to the morgue.


A case was booked and is being investigated. Officials said footage from surveillance cameras in the surroundings was being examined to get more details.

They are also verifying birth records at hospitals and nursing homes nearby to identify her parents.
