Newborn, wrapped in plastic cover, abandoned in Mancherial
A newborn baby was found abandoned at a junction in Naspur mandal centre in Mancherial on Monday. Locals alerted police, who shifted the baby to a hospital. The healthy newborn will later be moved to a child welfare home.
Mancherial: A newborn wrapped in a plastic cover was abandoned at a junction in Naspur mandal centre on Monday.
Locals identified the baby and alerted police who in turn shifted the newborn to a hospital in Mancherial. The baby, weighing around 3 kgs is healthy. She is under the observation of doctors. She would be shifted to a home run by the Women Development and Child Welfare department.
Based on a complaint received from the officials, a case has been registered. Investigations have been taken up.
