Warangal police commissioner P Pramod Kumar inaugurating CCTV surveillance network in Jangaon district on Wednesday.
Jangaon: Warangal police commissioner P Pramod Kumar said on Wednesday that one CCTV camera was equivalent to 100 policemen, and urged people to install more CCTV cameras to check crime rate.
He has speaking after inaugurating nearly 270 CCTV cameras installed in Jangaon district which falls under the Warangal police commissionerate’s west zone on Wednesday. While a total of 82 CCTV cameras were inaugurated under Raghunathpalli, Lingala Ghanpur and Gundala Police Station limits, 22 CCTV cameras were inaugurated at Guntur village under Narmetta police station limits. He also inaugurated the newly installed 51 CCTV cameras under Tarigoppula mandal in the district besides inaugurating the control rooms.
Pramod Kumar said that they were striving to make Warangal a crime-free police commissionerate and sought the cooperation of the people. West Zone DCP B Srinivas Reddy, Ghanpur ACP Vaibhav Gaikwad, Jangaon ACP Vinod, Inspectors, and Sub-Inspectors of respective police stations attended the inauguration programmes.
