Newly married couple attempts suicide in Jagitial

The couple get married six days ago, but their families refused to accept their marriage and the couple decided to end their lives

Jagitial: A newly married couple made suicide attempt at Kotilingala of Velgatoor mandal on Monday.

Santhosh and Sherisha, residents of Hajipur in Mancherial district, who were in love with each other, got married just six days ago. Since their families refused to accept their marriage, the couple decided to end their lives.

The couple consumed pesticides at Kotilingala and informed their family members over phone. The families alerted 108 ambulance service. The couple was shifted to Jagitial hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.
