Hyderabad: A newly married woman died under suspicious circumstances at Rajendranagar on Sunday night, leading to serious suspicion and allegations against her husband and a police investigation.

The woman, identified as Aishwarya (26), was residing with her husband Raju at Janachaitanya Phase-II. The couple, who had married just last month following a love relationship, reportedly visited Raju’s parents’ house on Sunday night and returned home later.

Soon after reaching their residence, Aishwarya allegedly collapsed after suffering seizures. She was immediately shifted to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

Meanwhile, Aishwarya’s parents have accused their son-in-law Raju of murdering their daughter, claiming she was smothered to death. They stated that Raju, a native of Nagarkurnool district, had married Aishwarya, who hails from Mahabubnagar district, against the wishes of both families.

Following a complaint filed by the victim’s parents, the Rajendranagar police registered a case and launched an investigation. The exact cause of death will be confirmed after an autopsy, police officials said.
