NGO distributes essentials, medicines to tribals in Nirmal
Kavery Foundation created awareness among the ethnic tribes about precautionary measures to be taken for Covid-19 and conducted medical investigations to check if they were suffering from seasonal diseases
Nirmal: Kavery Foundation, a Nirmal-based voluntary organisation, distributed essentials and drugs to over 100 families in remote tribal villages of Morrigudem, Burgupalli and Pulimadugu in Mamada mandal on Sunday.
Dr Appala Chakradhari, founder chairman of the foundation, said that they gave away essentials and drugs including groceries, fruits, biscuits, multi-vitamin tablets and pills containing iron and calcium to tribal families who were affected by the lockdown.
He then created awareness among the ethnic tribes about precautionary measures to be taken for Covid-19 and conducted medical investigations to check if they were suffering from seasonal diseases.
The foundation’s coordinator Bheemesh, project in-charge Deepak, Rajesh, Kapil and Raju belonging to Kaveri Children’s Hospital and local public representatives were present.
