NGO distributes groceries, blankets to tribals in Mancherial

Mancherial: Members of Subhi Sahaya Service, a Mancherial-based voluntary organisation distributed groceries, blankets and discarded cloths to tribals dwelling at the remote Pathatirumalapuram village in Kaspiet mandal on Saturday.
Nandini Manohar and Devi Narmada, founders of Subhi Sahaya Service, said that they organised the community service programme as part of initiative of the organisation. They stated that they raised funds with the help of savings and donors of Mancherial town. They thanked those who extended their cooperation in conducting the charity.
The members gave away 10 kilograms of rice, essentials, blanket and old clothes to each 24 families. They then raised awareness among the dwellers over family planning, sanitation and the role of education. They cooked food and fed the tribals at the end of the programme. They were thanked by the residents of the tiny habitation. Members of the organisation Suresh, Sai Krishna, Chandana, Chitra, Naveena, Ankit,Usha, Sharon, Shailaja, Radha, Jaswanth, Manoj and Shirisha took part in the event.
