Nigerian national deported from India by Hyderabad police for drug trafficking
Hyderabad police, in coordination with the FRRO, deported Nigerian national Obasi James Victor, 38, after his arrest in Tolichowki for drug trafficking. His tourist visa had expired, and he had been residing illegally with his family in New Delhi since 2011.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police, in coordination with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO), deported a Nigerian national who was illegally staying in the country and involved in drug trafficking.
The man, Obasi James Victor (38), a resident of New Delhi and native of Federal Republic of Nigeria, came to India in 2011 on a tourist visa. He was staying with his family in New Delhi illegally.
The name of James came to light during investigation of a drug racket. “James was caught by the Hyderabad police while he was moving suspiciously in Tolichowki. The police picked him up and asked for his visa and passport; both documents had expired. Hence, after legal procedures, he is being deported,” said HNEW DCP, Vaibhav Gaikwad.
