Amaravati: The implementation of night curfew in Andhra Pradesh has been deferred in view of Sankranti festival. The Andhra Pradesh government has now decided to impose night curfew from January 18 night.
According to Health minister Alla Nani, the night curfew was put off till festival since people were going to villages from cities in large numbers during the Sankranti festival. He said that the government was ready to tackle even the third wave of the COVID pandemic. People should wear masks in public places failing which they would be fined Rs.100, he warned, and urged the public to cooperate with the government to control coronavirus disease.
