Hyderabad: Telangana State’s Gonella Niharika had the measure of Dolly Singh of Bihar in the women’s 66kg category event first round match of the 5th Elite Women National Boxing Championship being held at Hissar on Friday. She won by unanimous 5-0 decision.

Niharika is participating in the Senior National for the first time and she is also a medal hope for Telangana State along with Nikhat Zareen, who is boxing in the 52 kg category.
Niharika is a Junior World Boxing Silver Medalist , 2015. Her elder sister Naganika is representing Telangana in the 81+ kg category.
