Niladri Kumar’s ‘Indian Dream’ to enchant Hyderabad on Dec 7
Renowned sitar maestro and composer Niladri Kumar will perform his production Indian Dream in Hyderabad on December 7 at Shilpakala Vedika, Madhapur. The concert will showcase India’s musical journey through heritage, innovation and reinvention, featuring Kumar’s invention, the zitar.

Hyderabad: Sitar player and composer Niladri Kumar is all set to perform in Hyderabad on December 7, at Shilpakala Vedika, Madhapur.
The artist will present his own production ‘Indian Dream’, which seeks to narrate India’s musical odyssey. Each segment of the performance will unveil a different chapter of India’s artistic legacy, celebrating heritage, innovation, devotion, and reinvention, a press release said.
The concert will also feature the zitar, the electric sitar developed by Niladri Kumar. Other artists featuring in the concert include Satyajit Talwalkar (Tabla), Agnelo Fernandes (Keys), Sambit Chatterjee (Drums), Shikhar Naad Qureshi (Percussion) and Hrishikesh Mazumdar on flute.
The concert will also feature a special segment dedicated to Ustad Zakir Hussain, in which Niladri Kumar will pay homage to the tabla legend.
