NIMS to hold free health screening camp for senior citizens

Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences will organise a free comprehensive health screening camp for senior citizens on March 31 in Hyderabad. The camp will include diagnostic tests, physiotherapy and counselling services to help detect common age-related health conditions.

Hyderabad: The Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) on Sunday announced a free comprehensive health screening camp for senior citizens for an holistic assessment of their physical, mental, and functional health on March 31, 2026.

Director, NIMS, Dr Nagari Beerappa, who announced the special health camp, urged senior citizens to make use of the unique initiative. The health camps will have several key diagnostic tests to identify common age-related ailments.


The tests include Complete Blood Picture (CBP), Random Blood Sugar, Serum Creatinine, and ECG. Additionally, free physiotherapy services and professional counseling will be provided to those in need, a statement from NIMS on Sunday said.

The health camp for senior citizens will be conducted at Nephrology Seminar Hall, Ground Floor, Old Block, NIMS, on Tuesday. The registrations for the camp will be open from 9 am to 1 pm and attendees must carry their Aadhar card for registration.
