NIMS to integrate AI tools for advanced patient diagnosis
NIMS is set to adopt Artificial Intelligence tools for diagnosis and patient care through a collaboration with IISc Bengaluru and TANUH Foundation. The partnership will focus on developing AI-based healthcare solutions, research, and precision medicine applications.

Hyderabad: The Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) is all set to integrate Artificial Intelligence tools in its diagnosis and other applications, with the potential to improve patient care facilities.
As a part of the initiative, senior management of NIMS on Monday participated in a meeting with representatives from the TANUH Foundation and the Artificial Intelligence Centre of Excellence in Healthcare, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru.
Translational AI for Healthcare (TANUH) and IISC Bengaluru invited NIMS to collaborate in Multi-centre AI healthcare studies, joint development of AI tools for patient care, clinical data-driven research and precision medicine and translational AI applications moving innovations from lab to bedside, a press release said.
NIMS and TANUH have agreed to work towards a long-term strategic partnership aimed at developing clinically deployable AI solutions that directly benefit patients. Formalities to operationalise the collaboration are expected to be completed shortly.
