Nine arrested in daylight murder case in Bhadrachalam
Police arrested nine youths, including a student, in connection with the daylight murder of a man at a wine shop in Bhadrachalam on December 17. The killing followed a clash over a petty issue, triggering concerns over law and order.

Kothagudem: Police have arrested nine youths, including a student, in connection with the broad daylight murder that took place in Bhadrachalam town in the district on December 17.
It may be noted that a person, Sajja Ravi Varma (38) of Paloncha town, was stabbed to death at a wine shop on the Bhadrachalam-Cherla road following a clash over a petty issue. The incident caused much uproar over the declining law and order situation in Bhadrachalam town.
Speaking to the media, Bhadrachalam ASP Vikrant Kumar Singh informed that the Town Inspector of Police M Nagaraju arrested the main accused Pangi Shiva, Boyina Durga Prasad and Jalakam Nagaraju along with six others.
Boddu Akhil, Lankapalli Jayaram, Muthyala Jayaram, Rikka Veera Shiva Shankar Reddy, Kapula Shiva and Kapula Krishna were produced before the court along with the main accused. Police teams are continuing search operations for the remaining accused.
The main accused Pangi Shiva was an auto rickshaw driver, Jayaram was a student, while the remaining accused were construction workers.workers.
