Hyderabad: Nine persons were taken into custody by the Habeebnagar police for organising a birthday party and dancing with swords on Wednesday night. The video of the celebration went viral on social media platforms as the birthday was organised on the road when the lockdown was in force.

After the video clips reached the police, an inquiry was done and a case was booked. The police took into custody nine persons and seized weapons, including swords and daggers, from them. The police have invoked various sections of the Indian Penal Code, Indian Arms Act, DM Act and other laws for violation of Covid19 guidelines.
