Nine more Collectorates ready for inauguration in Telangana

Hyderabad: After Siddipet, Kamareddy and Warangal, nine more integrated district collectorate complexes in different districts are ready for inauguration shortly. The districts where the complexes are ready include Nizamabad, Jagitial, Rajanna-Sircilla, Peddapalli, Vikarabad, Jangaon, Mahbubnagar, Wanaparthy and Yadadri-Bhongir.

An R&B official told Telangana Today that works in the remaining 13 integrated complexes at Kumram Bheem Asifabad, Ranga Reddy (Shamshabad), Jogulamba-Gadwal, Bhadradri-Kothagudem, Khammam, Mancherial, Nirmal, Suryapet, Nagarkurnool, Jaishankar-Bhupalpally, Medak, Medchal-Malkajgiri and Mahabubabad are going on at a brisk pace.

The State government accorded administrative sanction for Rs.1,365 crore for construction of these complexes in 25 districts and Rs 167.89 crore for residential quarters of Collectors and other officers in 20 districts in the first phase. The total plinth area of all residential quarters put together is 4.40 lakh sft. While District Collector’s residence will be spread over 6,000 sft, the Additional Collector’s residence will be 3,000 sft.

The government has also approved construction of collectorate complexes in Karimnagar at a cost of Rs 51 crore, Narayanpet and Mulugu at a cost of Rs 55 crore each. Construction of residential quarters in Narayanpet and Mulugu at a cost of Rs 8.50 crore each has also been approved.

Proposal for construction of collectorate complex in Adilabad at a cost of Rs 55 crore has been submitted to the government and approval is awaited. Land allocated for these complexes range from 19 to 93 acres in various districts. Depending on the requirement, the complexes are being constructed with different plinth areas. While 16 complexes are being constructed with a plinth area of 1.20 lakh sft, the others are coming up in an area of 1.50 lakh sft.
