Nine-year-old drowns in a water pond in Mahabubabad’s Kuravi
A nine-year-old boy, Boda Akshith, drowned after falling into a pond at Kakulabodu thanda in Mahabubabad district on Wednesday. He had been visiting his maternal grandmother during the Dasara holidays. His death has plunged his family and neighbourhood into grief
Mahabubabad: A nine-year-old boy, who had gone to his maternal grandmother’s house for the Dasara holidays, drowned after accidentally falling into a pond.
The incident occurred at Kakulabodu thanda in Kuravi mandal of Mahabubabad district on Wednesday. According to sources, the deceased, Boda Akshith, was a resident of the fifth ward of Maripeda Municipality in the district. He was studying in Class 3 at a private school.
Akshith’s death left his parents, Harish and Aruna, childless. The couple, who had been married for 12 years, had lost their first daughter a few years ago. His death plunged the fifth ward of Maripeda Municipality into grief.
