Wanaparthy: Former Minister S Niranjan Reddy condemned the alleged detention of Telangana activists and BRS workers ahead of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy‘s Palamuru visit and demanded their immediate release. Questioning the need for such measures, he asked whether illegal arrests were justified in the name of the Chief Minister’s security arrangements.

Niranjan Reddy also criticised the timing of the tour, pointing out that farmers were still awaiting paddy procurement and implementation of the Rythu Bharosa scheme. He alleged that the aerial survey by helicopter was aimed at avoiding direct interaction with farmers. Stating that the Congress government had lost public confidence, he said people no longer believed it would fulfil its promises.
