Nirmal: RGUKT-Basar student found hanging in hostel
Swathi Priya (17), studying pre-university course II year ended life by hanging to the ceiling of her hostel room.
Nirmal:A girl student was found hanging in her hostel room in the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge and Technologies (RGUKT)-Basar on Monday morning.
Officials of the university said Puri Swathi Priya (17), studying pre-university course II year, ended her life by hanging to the ceiling of her hostel room around 8 am. They attributed her suicide to personal problems.
Her classmates, who returned to the hostel only to notice the body after having breakfast at the mess and alerted the officials of the institution, who in turn informed police about the incident. Priya hailed from Armoor in Nizamabad district. The body was shifted to Bhainsa government hospital for post-mortem.
Based on a complaint received from Ravinder, the father of the student, a case was registered. Ravinder held officials of the university and a male student and some girls responsible for her death. Investigations were taken up.
