Nirmal: Sarpanch’s husband booked under SC/ST Act
Kishtaiah was reportedly stalking the teacher and was abusing her by using her caste.
Nirmal: The husband of a woman Sarpanch was booked under SC, ST Prevention Atrocities Act for allegedly harassing an Anganwadi worker at Gannora village in Mudhole mandal on Wednesday.
Mudhole Sub-Inspector Ashok said that the accused was Kishtaiah, the husband of Lavanya. The complainant was Rekha, an Anganwadi teacher belonging to a weaker section.
Kishtaiah was reportedly stalking the teacher and was abusing her by using her caste. It is learned that he called up and asked her to fulfill his sexual desires. He was intentionally targeting her by complaining to higher authorities against her. Irritated by his behaviour, Rekha approached the police. A case was registered against Kishtaiah and investigations were taken up.
