Nirmal: Woman, six member inter-state supari gang arrested for murder of youngster

Nirmal police solved the murder of 28-year-old auto driver Aslam Khan with the arrest of his stepmother, Anwari Begum, and six inter-state hitmen. Police revealed she paid a Rs 6 lakh contract after he ended their illicit relationship

Nirmal: Police cracked mystery behind the murder of a 28-year-old auto-rickshaw driver with the arrest of a woman and six members from an inter-state supari gang. They seized two motorcycles, two knives and five mobile phones from the seven.

Briefing details of the arrests to media persons, SP Dr Janaki Sharmila said that Anwari Begam and Mukheed, Afroz, Shahid, Sainath Pawar and Shaik Mohammad an inter-state gang were apprehended for their role in murder of Aslam Khan 28, an auto-rickshaw driver, occurred on July 15. The accused persons were detained with the help of CCTV footage, call data record and tip-off.

The 41-year-old Anwari confessed to committing the crime by hiring the gang with the help of Mukheed from Maharashtra for Rs 6 lakh. She admitted to having a physical relationship with Aslam, her step son. She hatched a conspiracy to eliminate him for ignoring her. She reportedly paid Rs 50,000 to the gang as advance.

As per instructions of the woman, members of the gang waylaid and indiscriminately stabbed Aslam to death while he was heading to YSR Colony by his auto-rickshaw. They disclosed that they made an unsuccessful bid to murder Aslam by withdrawing their plan after finding a large number of people at a place in the town on July 1.
