Nirmal: Sanathana Go Samskriti, a religious organization conducted a competition to prepare one crore cow dung balls locally known as Gobbemma to mark Sankranti festival, on the premises of Surabhi Goshala at Chincholi village in Sarangpur mandal on Sunday.
The event was held as part of an attempt to enter their feat of the organisation in Guinness Book of World Records Royal Success International Book of Records and Limca Book of Records in different parts of the State.
A large number of women voluntarily took part in the event by coming up with colorful balls. Organisers Srihari and Nalla Manmohan Reddy of Goshala said that the balls hold a special place in the traditions of Hindu religion. They stated that prizes would be given to top three participants and certificates to all those who took part in the competition.
