NIT Warangal begins work on Rs 24 crore open-air amphitheatre, cafeteria

Warangal: Foundation stone for state-of-the-art open-air amphitheatre was laid at National Institute of Technology Warangal (NITW) by its Director Prof Bidyadhar Subudhi.
The works would be executed by Central Public Works Department (CPWD) with an estimated cost of Rs 24.40 crore within 18 months. The amphitheatre would have a seating capacity of 2,500 persons, two art galleries and a multipurpose hall.
Foundation stone for a cafeteria was also laid at the NITW by Prof Subudhi. To be executed by CPWD at an estimated cost of Rs 6.11 crore the cafeteria works would be completed within 11 months. It consists of a 350-seat dining hall and a modern kitchen. Dean (Planning and Development) Prof P Rathish Kumar and others were present, said a release.
