NIT-Warangal faculty, alumni donate 100 laptops to poor students

Speaking on the occasion, Prof NV RamanRao, Director NITW, appreciated the NITW Alumni association and the teaching faculty for giving their contribution to poor students in this pandemic situation. “Nowadays, a laptop is more necessary than a book and pen to gain knowledge. Students are requested to utilise this in a proper way. If the students make use of this opportunity and work hard, the results would be fruitful,” he added.
Murali K. Gungi Secretary, NITW Alumni said that they had donated the laptops to needy NITW Students following the request from NITW Director Prof NV Ramana Rao. “We took initiative to do the programme and above 100 laptops were given to needy students in a short period of time. Then the laptops were distributed,” he added.
Prof J V Ramana Murthy, Dean student affairs, Prof Selvaraj, Dean IR and Alumni Affairs, Prof RajeshwarRao, Dean Research and Consultancy, NITWAA Warangal Local Chapter President Chandragiri Sreenivas, Secretary, Prof Venu Vinod, Deputy Registrar Dr PV Rao were present at the programme.
