Nithiin’s ‘Thammudu’ finds a new home on Netflix
Nithiin’s Thammudu, which failed in theatres, will stream on Netflix from August 1 in four South Indian languages.
Hyderabad: After failing to make an impact in theatres, Thammudu is now set for its second innings on OTT. The film, backed by producer Dil Raju and starring Nithiin, will start streaming on Netflix from August 1, 2025.
Directed by Venu Sriram, the movie could not pull crowds during its theatrical release and ended up as a big loss. Now the team is hoping that the digital release in four languages: Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam – will help the film reach a wider audience.
The cast of Thammudu includes Varsha Bollamma, Sapthami Gowda, Laya, Hari Teja, Srikanth Iyyengar and Temper Vamshi. Music for the film has been scored by B Ajaneesh Loknath.
Whether this OTT launch can change the fate of the movie is something viewers will decide when it starts streaming next month.
