Hyderabad: Indian all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy, who played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2026, where the team lost in the playoffs, has started training with players featuring in the Andhra Premier League (APL), organised by the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA), from June 9 to 30 at three venues in Andhra Pradesh.
“Nitish Kumar Reddy, a distinguished India player, recently participated in practice sessions with an APL team, demonstrating strong commitment and teamwork. Although Nitish will be with the India team during match days and therefore will not be available to play in APL fixtures, his involvement in training and his public support for the league have been invaluable.
“Nitish practised alongside his APL teammates, offering experience and mentorship that enhanced the squad’s preparedness,” according to an ACA media release.
“The ACA is particularly grateful to India stars like Nitish Kumar Reddy for their active support. His collaboration with the Andhra Cricket Association and his visible encouragement for the APL have boosted local interest and inspired young cricketers across the state,” the ACA said.
