Warangal: The number of the jobs offered to the students of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal, by different companies including the multi-national companies is increasing year by year. While 839 students were given job offers in the last academic year, 1016 students have landed jobs during this academic year through the campus drives so far.

Due to the pandemic, campus drives were conducted virtually. Another 50 students got the jobs through off-campus drives. Nearly 250 Companies visited the campus this year to hire the talented students. In total more than 630 B.Tech and more than 370 PG students got placed in different companies. Both Gaurav Singh and Priyansh Maheshwari of the B.Tech (CSE) final year students were placed in DEShah which offered a salary package of Rs 62.5 lakh per annum each.


In the same company, Debrup Mondal was offered Rs 57.5 lakh per annum, and 15 students were placed in Microsoft which offered a salary package of Rs 45 lakh per year. While 50 students secured jobs Oracle with a package ranging from Rs 27 lakhs to Rs 32 lakhs per year, 24 students grabbed the jobs in Qualcomm with a pay package of Rs 25 lakhs to Rs 32 lakhs per annum. “The number of students who got packages more than Rs 20 lakhs per annum is 220, and the average package is Rs 14.5 lakhs per annum,” said NITW Director NV Ramana Rao. A total of 630 out of 700 eligible B.Tech students got placed, while 386 out of 677 eligible P.G students (Includes M.Tech, MBA, MCA, M.Sc) got placed, and more than 450 pre-final year students received internship offers from different companies. “The stipend varies from Rs 20,000 to Rs 1.60 lakhs,” said Centre for Career Planning and Development, Head Dr Kiran Kumar K. The students have been successful in bagging jobs in both the public and private sectors in software, banking, education, service and core engineering sectors.
