NITW to hold science exhibition for the benefit of students from Feb 22

Warangal: National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal, is all set to host the the Science Week Festival from February 22 to 28 on its premises here for the benefit of students, said Prof. K. Laxma Reddy, who is one of the organizers of the programme.

Speaking to Telanagana Today, Prof Reddy said that 100 degree students and 100 high school students would be invited for seven days as a part of this programme. “Seven degree colleges and seven schools have been identified to participate in the expo. It is open to all from 10 am to 5 pm. Students from the schools and college can visit the exhibition to gain knowledge in the latest technologies, and scientific inventions,” he added.

“As a part of the expo posters display on 75 Scientists, 75 milestones and 75 inventions will made, and there are models from ISRO, Forest Department, Science Magic Demonstrations and Science Experiments demonstrations. ISRO mobile exhibition bus is visiting NITW on Feb 24 and 25. Forest Department’s displays, NITW milestones, science movie screenings and others will be exhibited at the expo which is being organised with the support of the Govt of India (GoI), through SCoPE project,” he said and requested the Principals of all PG, UG and Intermediate Colleges to ensure that their students visit this exhibition as it would be a great feeling and motivation to students.

The expo is being organised as a part of 75th year of Independence celebrations under the banner of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. “The realms of Indian Science and Technology over the last 75 years and traditionally since centuries have had a splendid impact on the development and progress of the country after Independence and in becoming a global economy over the last few decades,” Prof K Laxma Reddy added.
