Hyderabad: Students of Nizam College on Thursday night staged a protest alleging that food served in the men’s hostel at Basheerbagh was improperly cooked and was not in good taste.

“The food served in the hostel is not properly cooked and does not taste good. This apart, benches are not proper in the mess facility beside washrooms in the hostel are bad. We have been representing the issue to college management but so far, they have not addressed them. So, about 150 students staged a protest,” said a final year student.

Hostel warden Dr. Bhavani Shankar said problems raised by the students were being addressed.

“Students did not like the food served in the hostel. We will try to change the cook,” Dr. Shankar added.
